Moon Mission FirstScope Overview

This quality Dobsonian-style telescope features a parabolic glass mirror with a generous 100mm of aperture. The parabolic mirror delivers a wider field of view than other 100mm Newtonians, plus sharper views of the Moon’s surface details and crisp, pinpoint stars. Accessories Included

The Moon Mission Edition Tabletop Dobsonian 100mm comes with two eyepieces (20mm and 8mm), a Moon filter, a Moon map, and a StarPointer® red-dot finderscope. The two eyepieces offer different magnifications to view a variety of targets. The finderscope will help you quickly center an object in your eyepiece.

Moon Filter – Reduce the Moon’s bright glare so you can see more details on the lunar surface and observe more comfortably. It only takes a second or two to transform your regular eyepiece into one suited for moongazing. Simply thread this filter onto the bottom of your eyepiece, and you’re ready to go! Moon Filter is also great for observing Venus or bright terrestrial scenes.

Moon Map – This quality two-sided map helps you learn more about our neighboring world, the Moon. Navigate the lunar landscape confidently and identify craters and other surface features you see in your telescope. On the reverse side, the map highlights the most exciting lunar regions to explore with close-up photos and detailed information. The Moon Map is waterproof, tear-resistant, and folds into a compact 8” x 4” size that fits in the Travel Scope backpack for your next camping trip, star party, or backyard stargazing session.
